Fouad Aljuhani (MS '08) was one of two MCECS students to receive the President’s Award for Outstanding University Service at a luncheon held on June 4, 2008.

The award is given to students who have engaged in an effort to enhance the student experience at Portland State University.

Bridget Haggerty (MS '03) was appointed in 2007 as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.

Lewis Hong (MS '07) recently graduated from the University of Oxford's Trinity College. In June 2008 he wrote, "So much has happened this year, I traveled extensively around Europe, and around the globe. During spring break, a friend and I organized our school's first international trek and we went to visit all the emerging markets including Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Dubai. The trip was success and I was featured both in the school publication and Wall Street Journal."

Ali Kekhia (MS ’06) has been working since January 2007 as the CIO in Depa United Group, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Depa United Group is a leading provider of interior contracting services in the Middle East and North Africa.

Longjun Liu (MS '95) is now living in Phoenix, Arizona, and working as a Principal Dynamics Analyst for the aerospace company Orbital Science Corporation.

Alper Ozdil (MS '00) writes, "I am back in Istanbul, Turkey, after 9 years of living abroad, working in various Supply Chain Management positions with the automative industry in the US and Germany. I am currently the Healthcare Operations Manager in Istanbul with DHL Exel Supply Chain, responsible for the whole operations of a 8500m2 site, managing nine pharmaceutical customer accounts."

Toryos Pandejpong (Ph.D. '02) recently began teaching courses in the new Ph.D./M.S. program in Technopreneurship Management for Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.

Stacey Schultz (Ph.D. '03) was given the "Successful Alumni of the Year" award during the Omega Rho International Honor Society induction ceremony on April 12, 2008.

Dr. Schultz (Ph.D. '03) was also the guest speaker at the event. Her topic was commercializing products developed by academics at the Oregon Center for Applied Sciences, where she is president/CEO. Located in Eugene, Oregon, the Center "combines scientific knowledge with technological innovation to create viable products that address real-world problems in public health and education." Dr. Schultz also spoke about how her education and ETM have helped advance her career.
