 Jean-Claude Balland is a high-technology business consultant, professor, and
lecturer with extensive experience in sales and marketing management in Europe,
the United States, and Japan for technology products. Besides teaching at PSU,
Jean-Claude is also an adjunct faculty at OHSU School of Science and
Engineering. His consulting practice, JCB Associates, helps companies address
the strategic management issues that the fast changing environment is bringing
upon them. Services include workshops, process improvement, and strategic
alignment methodology. Prior to his present occupation, Jean-Claude was Director
of Internet Programs at Mentor Graphics Corporation. He spent 19 years at
Tektronix in various sales and marketing roles and was a Division Marketing
Manager when he left.
Jean-Claude holds a EE from INSA, in Lyons, France and a Doctor in Sciences
Physics from University of Lyons, France.
